Families affected by subgaleal haemorrhages in University Hospital Galway have been contacted by the Saolta University Health Care Group to advise that a review is currently underway.
External Professionals Conducting Review
The review is being carried out by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals external to the Saolta Group and focusing on the labour and delivery of those babies who had subgaleal haemorrhage diagnosed after delivery.
Purpose of the Review
The aim of the review is to see if there are areas of current practice that can be identified for improvement. The result of the review is expected in the coming weeks.
