The Government has launched a Scoping Inquiry into Historical Sexual Abuse in Day and Boarding Schools run by Religious Orders. The Inquiry aims to find out what survivors want the next steps to be from the Government to deal with this issue. The Inquiry has two steps. Firstly, the ‘Scoping Exercise’ invited survivors to answer a questionnaire to identify themselves and their experiences. This can be done online, over the telephone or by sending the form via post. Secondly, the ‘Direct Contact’ step invites survivors to discuss with trauma-informed facilitators will reach out to them. Survivors can choose their preferred method of being contacted by the facilitators.
