Mairéad Ni Ghabháin, Solicitor has been appointed to the Department of Justice and Equality’s Irish Legal Terms Advisory Committee.
The Irish Legal Terms Advisory Committee was established under the Irish Legal Terms Act 1945. That Act authorises ‘the provision, for the purposes of law, of standard equivalents in the Irish language for certain terms’ and provides for ‘the publication of legal forms and precedents in the Irish language
The Committee is chaired by the Hon. Mr Justice Frank Clarke of the Supreme Court.
Mairéad is a Solicitor in Lavelle Solicitor’s Commercial Litigation Department and specialises in debt recovery, banking and mortgage litigation.
Mairéad is a native Irish speaker and is qualified to practice through Irish. She is also registered on the Irish Language Register of the Law Society of Ireland.
