The 15^th annual Real Estate Opportunity and Private Fund Investing Forum took place in London on 3-4^th November 2014.

The event is part of the Information Management Network’s industry series of global opportunity fund conferences and brings the top real estate practitioners throughout the world together to discuss the critical issues facing Europe’s real estate investment market.

Lavelle Solicitors were one of the bronze sponsors of the well attended event, which attracted global investors, fund managers, lenders, developers, owners, consultants and other real estate professionals.

Gráinne Dever, Partner was a panelist for the presentation on the Irish investment market. The panel covered discussed the driving factors causing the momentous rise in the loan portfolio market; accessing properties through loan acquisitions and increasing involvement of REIT investments.

The presentation was moderated by Paula ter Brake, Chief Executive Officer, of First Citizen Asset Management and other panelists included Michael Moriarty, Head of Asset Recovery in NAMA and Tom McAleese, Managing Director, Alvarez and Marsal.
